I've attached pictures of how the PO of my car set up his aftermarket HID on the OEM halogen headlamp. I am planning to use the same set up on the eBay black halogen headlights. If anyone knows of a better, or different rather, set up, please post pics and let me know. Thanks in advance!

In the pictures you will notice that the OEM halogen headlamp bulb cover. The PO drilled a bigger hole in the center of the cover so that the aftermarket H1 bulb would fit snug on the cover. One thing to note is that the gap between the rubber piece (where the wires enter through the cap) that is intended to seal the opening is wider than the width of the cover. The previous owner used some sort of jelly-like/ rubber sealant to ensure an airtight fit. Another way to get around this is to cut a smaller hole. My reply below shows what I am talking about. The cover on the right is what it looks like out of the factory. The cover on the left is what was drilled a wider diameter to fit the rubber grommet from the H1.

Few things I would like to know other than everyone else's set up. How people get the H4 bulb installed does this require an additional ballast? Can someone fill me in on how to remove the parking light on the eBay black halogen headlights? I can't get them out of the life of me. Finally, does anyone know if it is necessary to calibrate the headlights once installed? Thanks!

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this should be stickied. Took me ages to find this post, I was able to drill a hole with a hole saw that came with a toolset I got for christmas lol.

I was so close to cutting my HID bulbs and voiding my warranty on the bulbs lol.
