Anyone using Bi-xenon HID's in their 9003/H4 fogs?
 

As the title says I am looking to replace the fogs/high beams in my HID equipped 04. I don't want to loose my high beams and like the idea of having fogs in the rain. I was looking at HID replacement kits in yellow. In theory this gives me increased light output(HID) for the high beam and increased rain visibility (yellow color).

Anyone rocking this? how is the light output? where did you get your bulbs from?

There's quite a few people that have done this if you use the "search" button. The real trick is finding a quality HID kit that actually is "bi-xenon"

The eBay link you posted is for a 6000K kit, IMHO that temp is way too blue...I'd look for a 4300K...

^ ^ ^ I disagree. It's all personal preference. I have 6000k bulbs and they are primarily white.... the stock 4300k was definitely not distinctive enough. Plus he's talking about yellow. That's 3000k. Typically you include this information to the person you buy from in the checkout process.

Trust me I searched, I searched for "HID", "9003", "yellow fogs" but I could not find any testimonials pics or examples of folks who had used bi-xenons

And yeah I am looking for yellow. my biggest concern is fitment, most of these bi-xenons are about 1 inch longer at the base than a standard bulb

I have 6000k bi-xenons for my fog/high beams. I bought the lights complete from a local so I'm not sure which HID kit he used. I have 6000K for my lows, highs, and fogs. I'm not really a fan of mixing color temperatures in G35 headlights, but to each his own. The light output is very good, both in fogs and high beams.

Are you using a halogen or xenon housing?

Not sure what you're asking. The headlights themselves are OEM units.

Hey ACR did you install these yourself or did the local shop do it? Do you have any pics?

I think what he was asking is do you have OEM HID headlights or halogen? In this case it doesn't matter since the fog/high beam is a halogen reflector.

so has anyone found a good seller for Bi-xenon Bulbs? Im going to go ahead and throw some HIDs in my fogs. Im getting tired of the dull incandescent light my fogs/hi beams throw off.

HID's are not ideal for fog lights from a practical standpoint. The intensity of an HID light, while great on clear nights, is actually not that good in inclimate weather

So if you are actually looking for a "fog" light in terms of actual use in fog, and not just trying to make the light look pretty, your best bet is a halogen 3K bulb.

Of course, nobody wants to hear that.

I got 2500k nokia bulbs and i loce them makes a big difference

Anybody running these H4 Super Plasma Gt-X as there high/fog bulb? Searched but no luck. Just bought 3000k D2R from diode dynamics for my lows.
