dash lights up-no rpm's
 

I'll be driving along fine and then loose throttle power to the engine. The dash lights up like a Christmas tree, if I put the car in neutral I can rev up the engine, as soon as I put it in drive, It won't go above idle. After letting it sit for a while, I can put the jumpers on it(because after all this happens the battery, which is less than a year old, doesn't have enough juice to crank it over) and it will start and run fine. After a weeks worth of normal driving it does it again. Any help?

I'd say you need to check the battery. Might have gotten a bad one.
