Group interest Poly Bumpers from Arch industries!

Francis and myself have been talking about finally getting a poly bumper made for sedans. He says he will need a minimum 10 people interested to get the ball rolling.

Yes that means 10 people from each version of front end (03/04 and 05/06) so whichever gets more or if they both get enough they can go a head an do it.

"We would need about 10-15 customers with paid deposit of $200 to start the project. If everyone is serious, so are we.with each new bumper it requires a new mold. Process takes up to 8 weeks to complete"

$200 deposit
Final price of;
$500 Shipped
$400 picked up in West LA/310 AC

03/04
Decided Inven Style Front
1. 4DGS (Money in hand)
2. stclair (Money in hand)
3. Mcaron (Money in hand)
4. itgorev (Money in hand)
5. Heph (Money in hand)
6. Fais (Money in hand)

05/06
1. MardiGrasmax (Nismo)
2. Boostedforlife (1k2/2Nismo)

To anyone that is %100 interested PM me your top 2 choices for bumpers and the year of your car. I will tally it up and see what bumper is going to win for each car.

Updated, Arch 100% GUARANTEES fitment. That's what they've always gone by, they only sell the best fitting and best looking parts. No cutting corners.

Lemme see if I have this straight.

If everyone is serious, so are we.with each new bumper it requires a new mold.
Are you saying that one mold is good for one cast? If so, that's TERRIBLY inefficient, but if it's cheap, then there is not as much money tied up in production of the molds.

Say we get 10 people ready to go. Does the decision for the bumper skin have to be unanimous? Or can they do a variety of styles? I'm all for a NISMO poly copy and $500 isn't too bad for it shipped. Not a fan of the K2 (too smiley) or the Rookie (too agro for my style), but the Nismo suits me just fine.

Otherwise, I'm going to start accepting bids on production of 99 Nismo replicas and I'll sell them myself. Guys in the midwest would probably like a break in shipping charges. The skirts and rear valance are small enough to where I can make my own molds and make my own poly copies.

No you have it wrong. Each new bumper meaning a style/ year needs a mold.

I doubt we will be doing the nismo since Hikkatdori already offers one and there is also the nismo OEM.

Feel free to make your own, just make sure you get a vendors permit before trying to sell it to people.

No variety of styles, unless you have another 10 people in for that front.

Okay, that's what I was thinking. I was rolling that sentence over in my head and was thinking, "that make no sense at all!"

True, Hikka has FG copies but I think a lot of people are turned off by FG, including me. I can't consider the Nismo OEM a viable competitor because they were rare to begin with and are no longer made.

Fully aware of that. What is the price of a vendor's permit for this site? It wouldn't make much sense to get a permit if this is the only thing I sell; plus, I don't have see myself making anything else. If I don't have more product variety/volume, it's throwing money away to get a VL.

If anything, I'll have them manufactured and resell them to Nissan tuner shops. The shops can determine their own pricing and can take care of their own advertising.

Unless you're an inch off the ground you have no reason not to love fiberglass.

Contact a mod for pricing, they will get someone to phone you and talk business.

I used to install bodykits when I was 18. I have many reasons not to like it. j/k

Seriously though, I work in a semi-rural area where I've hit many dead/living raccoons, possums, skunks, and I know that fiberglass would've split during many of these instances. There's no street lighting either; even with HIDs, it's always a surprise when I see one.

I guess I could just get a new job, but there's not a terribly huge demand for ID/ME people in Cincinnati.

I'll keep an eye on this post and see how things are looking in a week or so. Mind if I shoot you a PM from time to time to see how the tallys look?

X2 on a Nismo poly copy (as long as it's correct). Can't do FG, since my wife has little depth perception on curbs and sidewalks. A fiberglass front wouldn't stand a chance.
