Driver's Seat Track Broken
 

Took my 06 G35X (71K mi) in for the airbag recall and had them check a few other things. There is a small amount of play in the driver's seat that happens when accelerating or braking. They told me the track was bad and needed to be replaced. When I told them the motor was replaced 11 months ago and asked if this was related to (or caused by...) the work that was done, the response was "this is something else".

What should this cost? Should I push them to cover at least a portion? Other ideas?

I'd look into this. I had my seat tracks replaced under warranty, but after a while small rocking came back. I never got chance to fix it, so I do not know if post below will solve your problem. Otherwise it will cost pooload of money and no guarantee that problem will not return.
