Thanks
I had the 14815 installed along with my HR Y pipe and coupe middy. Sounds great and after it settled in, no drone at all.

Here's a video of mine:

Ignore my friend's 'interesting' title and description haha

NICE! Isn't it if you only get a muffler you won't get any hp gains? Is that true like compared to a full catback?

Yes, I dont see how getting just a muffler getting you any HP. Our OEM muffler isn't all that restrictive anyway.

On a side note I purchased a megan exhaust. Cant wait to see how it sounds in person.

I ordered it too! with the Megan y pipe should be here by thursday and when i get it on i'll upload a video or 2 but I do also have Kinetic HFC and i've read that its really loud! Even louder with them LOL. I'm not sure why people just buy mufflers? Is it just for sound I guess. I was going to do that but I didn't see the point in taking it off and then putting a catback on later... I have a X sedan so hopefully there shouldn't be fitment issues with the Y or the other parts.. I hope...

I essentially built my own catback (HR-Y/Coupe Midpipe/Magnaflow). The small HP gains come from a better flowing Y Pipe. The coupe mid (or any other midpipe really) just loses weight. So yes the muffler is purely for sound. The only real gains you will get exhaust wise come from HFC's/Test Pipes.

G35 Sedan
The stock muffler weighs a f*king ton, car felt a lot better on top end when i took mine off a long time ago when i was rocking a 4" single. The magnaflow muffler is hands down the best sounding muffler ever on our cars lol

^this. I forgot to mention but I easily dropped 15lbs with the magnaflow. Not as drastic as the weight reduction with the coupe midpipe, but definitely a difference on paper

Awesome! Mine is supposed to come on Thursday too.

Anyone running this on their 03-04's? What did you guys do to make it fit properly?

I got the megan when my exhaust snapped in the middle of the pipe....seems the weight of my exhaust plus whatever rust happened from salt from the previous owner living in NY was enough to snap the pipe

Anyhow got a great deal on a megan catback after a lot of research I actually found I liked the way it sounded the most and the construction seemed absolutely fine to me. Enjoy it

I know the Megan oe rs y pipe plus down pipe and muffler is about 45Ibs together which is okay for an exhausts weight. Now to figure out how heavy the stock exhaust is. So is this exhaust suppose to have better flow?

I had mine installed yesterday. I like it so far.

It's loud and has a bit of drone under 2000rpm but above 2000rpm it's amazing.

Here is a quick cellphone video.
