A pillar water leak
 

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, from New Zealand and have had my 02 G35 350gt-8 sedan for about 4 mths and happy as with the car. The paddle shift on it is awesome for open road driving.
Just making enquires as to if anyone has had any issues with water leaking down the A pillars when it rains. When I removed the A pillar covers there is a join where the roof meets the A pillar and it drips from there. I spoke to a panelbeater up the road from work and he rekoned it was the seal around the windscreen. I had tis replaced today but it still leaking.
Any ideas/suggestions?

I had the same problem after I had a windshield installed. The window tech told me it was the seam seal. This is where the robot welded the roof seams together. Sometimes they don't do a good job but in the factory they put sealer over the weld. The tech put some sealant over the seal and the leak stopped. So I would take the window moldings off and spread the window sealant they use for windshields in that area.

Check your sunroof drains also..

Cheers for the replies, I had the panelbeater up the road look at it again today after work and he has re-sealed the corners and up the weld seam again so hopefully that will solve the problem

Im having this problem right now and its my drain plug. There is a tube that is missing. I just have no idea how to fix it for the most part. I mean I know to get a new tube on it, but here should I lead the tube to?
