19's 06 coupe OEM Rays Wheels Heavy?

Hey every i have an 03 G sedan that comes with OEM 17's wheels. I recently acquired the 19's 06 coupe OEM Rays wheels and i got them on the car today. After i got them on my car i felt a significant change in my car. It felt heavier and I wasn't accelerating as fast nor can the car maintain the speed after letting the gas go (drastically decrease). Im assuming cause of their weight; if anyone know how much they weigh that would be helpful. What I want to know is do you guys have any suggestions on other wheels that are 19's and weigh less than the ones I have now. I seem to cant find the weight of these wheels so I can do a comparison. Thanks in advance

they are forged rays and lighter than your 17's that were on the car previously....that I know for certain. Possibly 18F 19lbs R i believe...what your feeling are probably heavy tires. I have nitrogen in mine to save weight and help out gas mileage

The19's are heavier overall. I had 18's sport wheels on mine and can tell the difference when you lift them. Rubbers are likely to blame as JaE35 said.

i have the 350z track 18s and they were overall lighter than my stock 17's, by a few pounds. lifting each one with one hand was very noticeable. plus you might have a higher rolling diameter, get a 3.5 vlsd and it will feel much better performance wise.

when i bought these wheels they came with used Kumho Ecsta SPT (225/40/19 & 245/40/19 ) haha i never heard of them. These tires however are noisy too when I'm going over 50km/h or 31mph. I was pretty excited to them these forged ray and after getting them on im pretty disappointed. I don't know much about tires to be honest so what would you recommend for tires that is more bang for your buck.

I assumed that they will be heavier than my 17s but I didn't think it would be such a significant, it kinda take the joy out of driving my car.

I myself was thinking the same and was disappointed to feel the weight difference. You could really tell when accelerating and when braking. But the looks I guess is the plus. I am considering going back to the stock 18's but use wider spacers.

I had that same tire brand and set up, then I got some new federals and wow did the drive seem a lot lighter and u could tell with the steering that the new set up is smoother not to say quieter too

^^^ These Kumho Im not a fan of, they are loud and unpleasant to drive, ill have to deal with this setup for now until I can get new tires for the wheels. What type of federals are on your wheels now? Im looking for the best option, more bang for your buck.

On tire rack you can see how heavy each tire is. I think the Rays are 19lbs. front and 21lbs. rear. They are very pretty light. I think the stock 17's are around 24lbs.

^do you think that the weight tires from one brand to another would have a huge impact on the weight? would it differ that much from one tire to another with the same specs? I can really feel the different and ill be honest the 17s do feel lighter.

lol, come on guys... really? the difference he's feeling is from the weight being pushed further out due to the difference in diameter.

keep the 19's, they're wider and will provide more grip, also the lower profile tires w/give you a stiffer sidewall.
