What's a mid pipe??
 

So my dealer says I need a new mid pipe on my g35x
I can't figure out if he is saying the pipe in front of the y pipe or after the y pipe or is he including the y pipe?

what years will fit?

the one that isn't the muffler here..goes in the middle

so the small one that looks like a muffler but isn't is actually called a "pipe"?

I had posted this in another thread, only difference is the sedan has a different shaped muffler.

03-06 Sedan & 03-07 Coupe mid-pipes will fit on your car.

so all coupe mid pipes to 07 will fit my g35x....right?
I also read that someone replaced their sedan mid pipe with a coupe and it sounds better..
is that right?
