Chrome or not Chrome, that's my question!!!
 

Well, after about 5 months of doing research, I've narrowed my rim search down to a few choices. Need help pulling the trigger though. I'm going with 19's and Toyo tires. I have a black 2004 sedan tinted out, and can't decide if I want chrome, all black, or black with chrome lip!!! What would you chose? And any other rims I should be checking out before I make my final decision. I really like skeleton-cru's set up on this site. I was thinking of copying his, but I want my own look!!

It is kind of hard to tell what will actually look good on your car by looking at the wheel by itself. I would generally stay away from chrome imo. The good thing about copying a look is that, short of seeing it in person, you know exactly how it is going to look in a real picture--not some computer mock up.

Keep us posted--AND--fire up that digital camera when its done.

I think those are all great choices. Go for the J5 in graphite. It would look sweet and still be different from my G. I don't think I have seen a sedan with J5's. Still I wouldn't mind if you got the J8's. ;)

I like the Volk's and they are great quality wheels, but everybody gets the Volks. :p

I'm not a big fan of the all chrome.

I'm no fan of chrome wheels either. I like the first choice for a black car.

I'd go with Axis Seven --- IMO the sedan needs a clean looking wheel without all the slots and nubs on the rims (which are mostly for show). Besides, keeping them clean and looking good will be alot less work. Remember, the G35's have alot of brake dust accumulation.

The more I look at them, the more I'm going crazy!!! After talking to a BUNCH of people asking for advice, the more common response I get is, "If you get black rims it looks like a racer, and if you get chrome, it's ghetto."

I'm trying to accomplish the CLASSY look.

Looks to me like you've just made up your mind. I also have black sedan and am shopping. Black, though nice, IMO are better-suited to the Coupe. Chrome are just too, as you say, ghetto. Silver it is! What about machined or high-polish?

Im planning on getting the rims fromt he Aston Martin AMV8, hopefully, they'll fit. Those rims are mad nice!

I don't think the black wheels will make your G look like a race car. I think they are really classy. I get a lot of compliments on my J8's.

Instead of chrome why not get a silver finish? The J8's come in a silver finish and I'm sure the Axis do too.

The bottom line is get what YOU like. You will get so many different opinions about wheels that you will never be able to make a decision.

Would 20's fit no problem? Or should I stick with the 19's I'm thinking of getting?
