Automatic G35's

Hey guys I'm new in this forum! i was checking for automatic sub-forum but i couldn't find one so I've decided to dedicate this one to AUTOMATIC G35 only.
(if there is a sub forum please let me know so i could take this one down)

I have a Automatic Sedan 2006 Infiniti G35 (Gold) - Blah, was used but got a great deal.

i just started working and getting my money straight and 50% will go to my future car modifications...hopefully

i have made some exterior changes to the car:

Debadge "INFINITI" emblem
Charcoal Dupli-color Paint

...thats it lol. i do hope to make "cosmetic changes first" i don't have planned for performance yet...except i am looking for a decent DEEP SOUND test pipe i do know some of you folks recommended the megan test pipe. i was hoping you guys can drop some knowledge (as i am new) on to which test pipe before i can make a purchase worth its money.

if you have any question you guys want to ask the forums about automatic related stuff heres the spot!!

Mofuggas got a Serengeti Sand !

Interesting idea. I would recommend looking into the best money can buy used, motordyne test pipes and the motordyne exhaust (shockwave TDX2).

I totally forgot to mention that mines was a sedan would it matter with the shockwave tdx2?

sedans can only use single exit coupe exhausts, and they need a little section of pipe to add in to make it long enough to reach the back.

The shockwave TDX is hard to find, and pricey. But the sound is worth getting your pants wet over. Best exhaust imo.

I suggest the MotorDyne ART Pipes (tests). Best choice available (pricier) but it gives it a solid deep tone and reduced rasp.

Yeah I agree I just looked them up. They do have the rich deep sound. I just don't want a loud raspy flappy civic sounding test tip

So the other other side not being used can be used for making the pipe longer. ? correct me if I'm wrong lol

No it can't be. Way too long. This is the exhaust:

its a dual exhaust so the only way to get it on would be with extensive custom work. the extension only works on something like the Agency power exhaust pictured below

If that's the case, the ART pipes might be only your only choice then.

Serengeti sand is a rare color. Only listed for 2 years as a color option. I have a 05x in that color. Mine is a early color not a lot of gold. I like it! Check out the exhaust system sound clips. You can spend lots of money on exhaust. You have to decide if you how much louder you want. You can have a mid pipe made and hang the muffler of your choice. Enjoy your G!

You can't install ART pipes or test pipes and expect the OE exhaust to sound anything but raspy! A few company's make quality exhaust systems for sedans, like Stillen! Rather than doing the test pipe route a better idea is high flow cats like Fast Intentions or Berks! You get a great sound without breathing that stinky exhaust and you're not screwing with our environment! Check our Marketplace under private classified for member selling their exhaust systems...Gary

Dang I didn't think of that. I might have to save up for the whole exhaust system it's gonna cost me a pretty penny. Thanks for the info Gary much appreciated.

I rather not have that raspy sound for my Infiniti. I shoulda gotta coupe lol

Wow I did not know that. Thnx for sharing that with us. The color is a love and hate thing for me. Because it's hard to match unlike gray or black g35. My hope were lost today. Lol no test pipe ugh
