My wife's G37s smokes my G35
Carbon check. Have you checked the valves/heads for carbon?
How is the car idling on cold start up? Pretty smooth or skipping a beat?
A little carbon clean wouldn't hurt, might get more hp and better gas mileage.
But if the carbon is really bad, you would probably notice a rough idle on cold start.

See this is why we can't have nice things..... or is it this is why we can't get new members? Yea that is probably it.
OP as mentioned above, its probably a combination of things: early model g, AT, high final drive gearing, and probably down on power or compression or just in need of a tune up and injector cleaning.

I'm curious to know why a millionaire would buy an 11 year old G35 with 80k on it. It seems a little below the norm. Why not a GTR if curious about a used Nissan?
It's the internet. No way to verify anyone's claim really.
That's kinda why I hinted that it was all unnecessary information that only distracted us from the OP's real problem. Had the question simply been stated "why is my car slower than it should be" then there would have been some good discussion here.
But instead, the thread got derailed due to the fluff. Whether or not it's true doesn't matter, the OP's not coming back, and now thinks we are all asshats

Well the feeling is mutual and I'm not particularly concerned about his opinion of the knowledgable folks that inhabit this space. I'm glad he is contained by a gated compound.
