Anyone Know What This Part Is Called From A Manual Transmission?

I hope somebody can help me that knows these cars well. I was driving, and the clutch got stuck to the floor. I was down in Mexico. The mechanic told me he knew what it was. That there is a ball inside of transmission that he told me can break. He showed me how loose everything was underneath the car. So he took the original piece out, and basically made one with a screw that was the same size, and rounded off the head so it was a half circle also. I was able to get back to California. The clutch is still sticking to the floor and I had to lift the clutch pedal up with my toe to get it to pop up. Which was better then when the issue happened. At least I could get somewhere and make it home. Now I want to get the original part and have someone put it in. However, I have no idea what this part is.... I am planning on putting a new clutch in anyway, so everything will be opened up in a week when the clutch gets here. Please God tell me that someone here knows the name of this part so I can order it. Please see the image. Thanks in advance.

PS That shiny area was not part of the original part. They were trying to solder onto that broken screw part to then try and reattach it. Pretty gangster for sure.

just a guess before someone else chimes in with a definitive answer ... Based on your description, it looks like the clutch fork pivot bushing/pin. Your clutch pedal is probably messed up now because you damaged the slave as a result of too much travel. You can try to bleed the system or replace the slave

Thanks so much for that answer. You are awesome. Even with the perfect images and everything. I will order that and the slave as well just to be safe.
