P1273, P1283 SES...fully stock...any solutions?
 

Been working on this one for a couple weeks now. Got a SES light stating P1273 and P1283. First thought was air fuel sensor, but getting both codes I decided against simply replacing both sensors. Plus I have read many many posts stating guys have replaced both air fuel sensors or both air fuel sensors and both O2 sensors just to have the light come back on.

From what I can tell, most times the light is related to high flow cats or cold air intakes. I have a fully stock G. I have investigated for intake leaks and exhaust leaks. I did find a ripped intake coupler, but still no luck after fixing this. Light just comes back on after 50 miles or so. I have replaced the PCV valve, just because it sounded a little funny. I have tried cleaning the MAF, still no luck.

For what its worth, I have tried resetting the computers a few different way. Simply erasing codes. Pulling negative battery cable over night. Unplugging MAF, running for a few seconds, clearing codes and idling for 10 mintues (suggested as way to reset air fuel tables). :dunno:

Is it time to go and just start replacing sensors? Anyone ever have this issue on a stock G and find a solution or fix? It seems many people have this issue, but few report back with their solution. :banghead:

Is there a rough idle?

The G starts and runs fine. Idle is very smooth. When the light goes the gas mileage starts to drop. That is the only downside of this issue. Otherwise I wouldn't bother speaking of it...

Anyone? I know I'm not the only with this issue...:confused2:
