G35X 2004 : No manual mode... ???
My 2004 X won't shift to the manual mode. It always stay on D. I scanned the ECU (no check Engine light) and i have P1815 Manual mode switch... What is the problem ? Where is that switch ? I searched on Google and didn't find any answer...

My 06 has had issues and I basically never go into it anymore, these are intermittent and not consistent.
Originally it would only down shift like 1 in 10 tries, but always upshift, then later I had issues where it would start down shifting one by one on its own and fairly quick and I'd quickly have to go back to auto otherwise I'd be driving like 50+ in 1st gear and no way to bump up, lastly it either doesn't register at all and still says D or I might be working fine for a minute or two and then randomly pop itself back to D without moving the shifter.
I had it diagnosed like 3.5 years back and the dealer wanted $600 or so to replace the whole unit which I passed on. I also found some write up or video claiming to tear things down to get to the contacts and try to clean them or maybe replace them, but again it isn't worth that much hassle to me.
I've never had a check engine light for it though and I don't recall ever getting a code for anything related to it when I have scanned with the UpRev cable and software.

I've got a few other things popping up over time that I need to attend to first if I decide to try any fixes.
