Windshield wipers don't work
 

I own a G35 coupe from the year 2004. I recently had an electrical problem that caused one of my headlights to not work, after messing around with different techniques, I finally sound the solution. The reason I mention this is because I took out my fuse box and replaced certain fuses and when I turned on my car my wipers would not work. I also tested the voltage of electrical parts of my car using some tool to detect how much power is being drawn. Now I brought it to a mechanic and he directed me to an electrician, the electrician recommended a BCM replacement. I went to the dealer, had it replaced and still no working wipers. I bought a wiper motor, installed it myself, and still no working wipers. I'm extremely frustrated and have no idea what could possibly be the problem, and so many so called "'experts" can't solve the problem either. Please help me, I'm fed up.

I would like for an electrcial diagram and go from there. Check the fuses, relays, and things like that. Another thing to consider is the linkage. Nit sure about Infiniti when this happened on my Audi. I had to remove the linkage, torch it apart, regrease, and assemble. They are known for rusting in place.

First of all when you as an amateur start replacing parts without knowing exactly what you are doing you are masking the original problem making troubleshooting much more difficult.

Who replaced the BCM? You or the dealer?

Why didn't you just tell the dealer to just fix the wipers without telling the dealer the BCM needed replacement?

Perhaps the problem is a loose/bad wiring harness connection so you can replace all the parts you want and still not solve the problem.

All front wiper relays (HI, LO) are included in IPDM E/R (intelligent power distribution module engine
room).


Wiper switch (combination switch) is composed of a combination of 5 output terminals and 5 input termi-
nals. Terminal combination status is read by BCM when switch is turned ON.


BCM (body control module) controls front wiper LO, HI, and INT (intermittent) operation.


IPDM E/R (intelligent power distribution module engine room) operates wiper motor according to CAN
communication signals from BCM (body control module).
Power is supplied at all times
