Car died and won't start

I was driving my g35 sedan on Friday and I was pushing the engine decently hard, and my engine cut out, the wheel began to lock up so that I could barely turn the wheel. I pulled over and tried to start my car again and it would crank a couple times and I'd here the engine make a very rough rev a couple times, each one weaker then the one before, and then it would die. All radio, a/c, and lights still worked I had to get it towed, anyone have an idea what's up?

Did you run out of gas?

Did your SES light come on? If so read my signature.....

If not it could be no gas as suggested above, bad battery, bad camshaft sensor, bad starter or a number of other things.

I had about a quarter tank left, but thank you I took it to a mechanic and I'll get results today

I read up on a bad camshaft sensor and watched some videos and it seems like that may be the issue.

Still didn't answer he question of did the SES light come on. GL with your repair, we hope it isn't something serious.

The cam sensor would throw a code. My advice is to not get carried away with watching videos trying to solve your problem. I've done it before and you get yourself thinking that something is seriously wrong. By the time you're done you think you just need a new car lol. Kinda like looking up symptoms of a headache online, then google tells you that you might be dying

I'd try putting a few gallons of gas in. The fuel level sensors go bad on these cars and can be real misleading! Then move on from there.

Update, I took it to the mechanic and he said it's a mass airflow sensor, it was most likely damaged by the crappy smog shop the person who sold me the car took it to before I bought it, thanks everyone.
