will oem width (6.5") tires fit on a 7"wide rim?

Got offered a deal on some rims for my G45, just checking if I can use 'em

AmigaJoe 12-06-2017 06:09 PM

G35 that is

Are you talking about the factory SPARE tire? The OEM rim width is either 7/7.5/8/8.5 depending on exactly which rims you have.

Really? I was going by the specs I found online. the offered rim is the same as this one:https://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-2004-I...53.m2749.l2649
When I plug my car ('05 X-sedan) into the calculator function, it says it doesn't match my vehicle. I have 17" wheels. Didn't take 'em off to measure.

From that web page you linked.

Well...

Decided to go ahead and they fit fine. I was going by the fitment gadget on the website, that was the source of my concern. And a different site that gave the wrong dimension for my tires.

Just need new center caps as the old ones are grungy. :-)

Yeah looks like they fit really well.
