Transmission dipstick

Hello everyone! I have ran into just another problem in my engine swap. the engine i have installed is an AWD and my car is RWD. it seems that my trans dipstick will not fit, so i ordered an after market but it was too thick. Do the AWD and RWD engines have different dipstick sizes? thanks

Are you having problems with the ENGINE dipstick or the TRANSMISSION dipstick because you asked about both? The engine is the same for automatic transmissions regardless of AWD or not.

The two engines have very different parts, i’ve had to swap over the mid and lower oil pan, engine mounts, oil filter and wire harness. But for some reason my trans dipstick doesn’t fit. I’m trying to figure out why and what to do with it

Other than what you just said, the engines are the exact same. I've only heard of the oil pans being different

Are you sure you got the correct VQ35DE from a G35/350z and not one from an Altima/Maxima or something?

Has to be from another car that isn't a g35 if you had to swap over all those parts
