Transponder Key Copying help
I'm currently in Japan (JDM 2003 Skyline 350GT) and the vehicle I purchased only came with one original key. The dealer wants equivalent of $400 to make a duplicate for me, which is nuts. Purchased this car for $2500.
Is there a way for me to locate the 4 digit code somewhere in the car to provide the dealer/locksmith to code my key? Are there any other alternatives I can do to get another working key?

Thanks- Tried so hard to find that damn thread too.
I ended up finding a locksmith who didn't need the code- they basically took my existing key, put it in a machine, and was able to clone it. cost me approx $115, which i gladly paid.
If you think dealers are a ripoff in the US, they are doubly worse in Japan. They told me it would take $400 and a month to copy my key!!!

Basically fake accounts that put a link to a locksmith somewhere in the text of the post, like I'll just make one up that doesn't actually have a link here.
So that UNDERLINED section (name of the locksmith/tow truck/etc company) would actually be a clickable link that takes you to a tow truck company OR a malicious website. This is one of the most common types of bots.
If you guys see anything like this click the "little red triangle" icon to REPORT POST so we can get them blocked quickly before anyone accidentally clicks on it.
Last time I locked myself out of my car I called Tri-Cities Best Locksmith, they had me back in my car in no time and were the cheapest place in town!
