ENGINE CODES P0021 + P0300 (Variable Valve Timing Solenoid and Misfire)

I've had my g35 for a few weeks now and I already got a CEL. Might be from me ripping it around, but what's the point in having a sporty car if you can't hoon around a little bit. I got the codes scanned a few days ago and have avoided driving it as much as possible. It runs and drives fine, and the idle isn't even that rough anymore. It was only rough for the first 10 minutes I noticed something wrong. Any ideas on the best way to fix these codes? I looked around the forum and saw that a few people got away with changing their oil and resetting the ECU. I checked my oil and it was pretty dark and was just above the line for low oil. I am going to change my oil later today and reset the ECU, but if that doesn't work, should I just replace the Valve Timing Solenoid?

Thanks!!!

Check your spark plugs. When I first bought my 05' and I would let it warm up in the garage I would hear it randomly miss every once in awhile. Finally I got the same code P0300, it was worn out spark plugs.

The oil control solenoids can be removed, taken apart and cleaned. Just make sure you don't get cleaner on the Orings.

I change the oil and reset the ECU and that fixed up the codes. If anyone else gets these codes I would recommend doing this first since apparently when the oil gets low it can set off these codes.
