Question about 04 to 06 dashboard swap in a sedan!
Hi. I'm new to the forum and new to the g35 crew also lol. Thanks to a very special person I was able to get this car for just $1500. It has 160k on it but it runs like a champ and it was well maintained and serviced. The only downside is the dashboard which is full of cracks but i just happen to find an 04 dashboard for a fare price in excelent condition. Other than the clock being in a different position will this be a direct swap? Thank you all!

I'm not sure what all entails the swap but the differences between the 03-04 and 05-06 dash are big. The whole center section including the console would need to be replaced as well plus the 05-06 interior just looks a lot better. Might I suggest a tasteful dash cover or repair the cracks yourself. A few members have fixed their dashboards and they look a LOT better than looking at the cracks.

Yeah, it's a big deal to swap to the 03'-04' although I have thought about it since they don't seem to have the cracking problem like the 05'-06'. If I fix my 05' dash I'll probably use a dash repair filler kit like in the video below. Lots of work but worth it in the end.

I found a 03-04 dash at the junkyard. Gotta give it a try in a few more days!

Make sure you get everything connected to it. The vents, console, etc etc... They are completely different.
