5at to 6mt swap wiring issues
So, I have recently undertaken a 6mt swap on a 04 g35 sedan. I bought a clean title sedan for the shell to use, then a 6mt coupe to source all of the swap parts from. So far the swap has all gone to plan, getting help from the DIY swap thread and figuring things out we have gotten the engine and trans in the shell. However, as of now I cannot get the car to turn over. The wiring for the starter has proved to be troublesome. The threads about the starter wiring for the swap have contained some useful information but ultimately are not very detailed. Can anyone who has successfully done the swap or understands more about the wiring for the starter give a detailed explanation of how to complete this task? Thanks in advance.

Are you getting a NATS/IMMU interlock? Is the security indicator light solid red when you try to start the engine?
|
I wasn't planning on getting an immobilization switch personally. But yes the security light is solid when I try to start it.
|
Ok if it's solid then you will not be able to start the car because the immobilizer/anti-theft is saying something is wrong.
If you swapped ECM, BCM, keys, etc then it will not start until they are all paired together (usually by the dealership but can he done yourself with Nissan Datascan2 2, a laptop , adapter cable, bcm decoded). |
Yep. Anti theft doing its thing.
