Need help ASAP

So I blew the motor in my 2005 g35 sedan and I bought a 2006 g35 sedan for the motor I have a 6mt and the sedan I bought is a auto since it’s a 06 sedan would the motor be able to be swapped into my car no problems ?

No, 2005-2006 sedan and 2005-2007 coupe had a different engine depending on if it was a 6MT or 5AT.

6MT got the VQ35DE "rev up" which has exhaust cam timing.

5AT got the normal VQ35DE without the exhaust cam timing.

The one on the left that's smooth is the non-rev, the one on the right with the waffle casting and the blue/green harness for the exhaust retarders is the rev-up.

There is some trickery to making the non-rev work in the rev-up, google search for it. It's definitely not a simple plug-and-play putting the wrong motor into the car though. You need a non-rev ECM and other stuff.

Also, the only mechanical parts that are different besides that timing cover is just the heads, the oil pan baffle, the oil pump, and technically the rods are different because they handle a little more horsepower.

If you just need the short block you can put your rev-up heads on it, just put in a new rev-up oil pump (or reuse your old one which I don't recommend depending on HOW you blew the motor...).
