I did a search and didn't find any threads on this. The fuel filler lid won't open. I've tried locking and unlocking the car a bunch of times. Any way to manually release it?
Am I the only one this has happened to? Luck me

It can be released from inside the trunk. You will have to remove panel and then you will see the actuator. Disconnect the wires feeding the actuator first. The plunger is white it needs to be pulled to the open position.
Leave the wires disconnected till you get to the dealer -- they should replace the whole assembly under warranty as this is common problem.

A quick fix.... as long as you have enough gas in your tank to get to the dealer. Unfortunately some of us only discovered this problem when it was time to fuel up... so we had to find a solution -- per my above instructions.Originally Posted by Sportcoupe35

Tech speak: The solenoid was seizing due to the plunger/latch binding in its guide (probably due to dirt). By operating it a few times manually I was able to free it up so that the solenoid could move it. A little lithium grease helped. Dealer chose to replace it.
