Sport Z Magazine's 2007 Sedan Q & A

Additional inform is coming in by the minute.

Have you checked out our write-ups on www.nissansportmag.com?

We've already have two major changes straight from the show-- dual throttle bodys and a factory x-pipe dual exhaust system.

Wish I could, but according to our sources it's chrome.

300+ Horsepower?

That's listed as SAE Net...what about SAE Certified so we can get a real comparison with the others? (BMW, Lexus). Also, what about torque?

And what's the CF slot for? Music? Security? Driver Prefs? Nav upload/downloads? Photo viewer on the LCD? All of the above?

1. What tires are on the show car?
2. Will there be more than one tire choice available because of the sport packages really weird 50 profile front tires?
3. Will the keyless system be offered with the manual transmission?
4. Is there an IPOD jack?
5. I assume the stereo still plays wma/mp3's?
6. What does the manual transmission shift **** look like? The old one looked cheap.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

As I said in my initial assessment, Inifiniti remains very evasive about the new VQ's horsepower and torque specs. What they've supplied, 7500rpm redline, 10.6:1 compression ratio, variable intake & exhaust cams, new twin TB intake and true dual (X-pipe) exhaust, should offer significant power improvement... regardless of which SAE measuring stick they use.

As for the CF slot, your guess is as good as ours.

I'm guessing the CF is for NAV map updates.

Status of your questions at this time 12:00 noon Pacific Time:

1. Trying to confirm the tire manufacturer and sizes.
2. Doubtful. I'll bet many will replace the 225/50/18 front tires with 245/45/18s.
3. We believe so at this time.
4. Haven't found one yet.
5. Yes, Infiniti indicates so.
6. Still looking.

We'll let you know as soon as we do.

Thanks for bringing that up. I surely hope Nissan decides to use the new J2723, I'd hate having Nissan's "300" horses that are equivalent to Toyota's "270" horses.

These are better sizes for +1 & +2 wheel mods.
