RCA's in the center console (iPod)
being that they have the aux inputs...im assuming you can hook up an ipod video and watch/listen to whatever hopefully while the car is in motion. think this will be possible?

It will take the audio feed..... you will have to control the ipod manually. maybe PAC will come up with something. |
Its illegal to have any kind of video in front of the driver as the car is moving ... in any state or country.
Forget that ... what about chipping the NAV to play DVDs while moving? ;) |
I don't understand why everyone wants to be able to play a DVD on the nav screen while moving. That's incredibly dangerous, not only to you but also to everyone else on the road as it will distract you from driving. It's not fair to the other drivers that you endanger them for your own enjoyment. Just a thought.

I plan on talking on my cell with my left hand, input an address into the nav on the touch screen with my right, then load a movie into the DVD drive (if it even plays them), select the chapters I want -- all the while shifting my 6MT. Oh, and did I mention the supersized soda resting between my legs, and the triple cheeseburger waiting for me in my cupholder? I'm a multi-tasking kind. :D

Im sorry I think I should have clarified...will I be able to listen to something while in motion using the aux inputs? ...lol I dont plan on watching movies while driving, but if the rca's don't work at all while in motion then that would mean I cant even use my iPod for music while driving.

I changed my stereo out for an Eclipse AVN6600 with iPod control which is nice because the iPod sits in the glove box and I have full control via the stereo.

That removable tray in the armrest compartment is perfect for an iPod, with any wires passed through the grill. I wish that tray was deeper, though. I don't think the armrest cover itself has a thinner top compartment -- like in Accords and Camrys and many cars.

I hope the armrest console has a passthru for the rca wire, otherwise you would have to open up the armrest every time you wanted to change the song.

so you can listen to ipod/iphone music through those aux cables?

If you get this plus a cheap usb car cigarette lighter adapter ($6 at best buy) you can listen, charge and watch (if your car isn't moving) your iPod or iPhone.
The reason why that thing is so expensive is because apple puts chips in all of their ipods and stuff so they can rack up the price. This is what I did and it works perfect. Also this little groove is so the wire can come outside of the center console without having to leave it open: https://g35driver.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1250916495 |
@ilovemyskyline... THANK YOU! i will be doing that soon. perfect.
