I'm speechless!

Just picked up my 07 Sport - Platinum Gray, Graphite interior, and premium pkg. And after driving a couple hundred miles (today!) I'm completely enthralled.

It's almost not fair - most of you guys got to experience the coolness of the first version, so you knew what to expect with the new version. I got dropped straight in to SWEET CAR overload: Really fast? Cool! Nice interior? Great! Paddle shifters? Rockin! This is just a fantastic car.

I barely know what to do with myself - well, other than go give it a bath of course :D

Congratulations on your new 07. There are a bunch of us waiting to be enthralled with our new Gs once our orders get in.

Two questions, out of idle curiousity:

1. What did you drіve before your new G35?

2. Where did you drіve the couple of hundred miles today? Not to and from work, I hope.

03 Nissan Maxima. Before that, 95 Maxima. I've been doing the VQ thing for a while :D

No,thankfully not - I live in Houston, but the deal from a Dallas dealer crushed all the local guys, so flew there and drove it home. Having to constantly vary the speed and RPMs on a 4-hour freeway jaunt is a bit tedious, but worth it :D

Man, every new thing I learn about this car just makes it better. Random tidbits:

There's not only an iPod aux input, they're actually audio AND video jacks. The screen will show movies when stopped (I didn't get Nav).

I went around a long sweeping bend between freeways in Dallas at about 90, and I swear the car yawned.

When I accidentally got on it a bit from a stop, the tach wound around so fast I barely had time to react to shift before 4k

I love this car.

I have some bad news for you. It just gets worse as you get some miles on it and start to let it run.- There is a whole other thing in there at the top of the tach that growls!

pics dammit!

Yes this engine is a fast rever isn't it...? It makes the previous gen feel like it has a boat anchor tied to the flywheel. And the handling/ride for this sport suspension is 1st rate - just a tick behind or on-par w/BMW's sport suspension, and not as harsh [and better handling] then the IS350's. This car is certainly ready to stop on others almost immediately, and it's hard not to resist. I bet this car really comes alive w/the 6-speed Trans.

...now if we could just get a faster-shifting AT
