06 Coupe or 07 Sedan

Hey guys im deciding on which car to get. Ive had an 03 Coupe for 3 years now my lease is up and i need to decide weather to get the coupe again or go with the new sedan... what do you think? thanx.....

In all honesty, only YOU can really answer that question. Test drive the new Sedan and see what you think.

I agree but also why go with old technology and last years body style. Yes you'll get a good price but then again when you go to sell it the new coupes will be out and your resale will be low.

Like canuck said test drive them both and see what you think. Good luck!

^^Agree with others above. If you are one that has to have the latest then go for the '07 sedan. You won't be disappointed.

I agree with the others You are the only one that can make that decision. I can however relate my own experience. I have owned an 04 Sedan, an 05 Coupe and just traded it for an 07 Sedan. I would guess that if all you are intrested is driving response I would stay with the coupe with the suspension package and 6 MT. If however other things are important to you such as interiorroom and trunk space I would strongly consider the 07 Sedan Sport.

As others have said, it depends on what's important to you. However, I went through a similar thought process on which to buy, so maybe this will help:

I bought a new 2003 Nissan Maxima, the last year they made the last-gen model. I knew a new one was coming, but didn't really like the looks (and it was slower :D) - however, over time it grew on me, and the new design made mine look dated. Plus, the cool new tech came on the new gen.

When looking at the '06 coupe vs. the '07 sedan, I figured I could get a coupe (6MT, Premium) for about $30 - $31k. I like the coupe, it's a great car and handles like a dream; but again, it was basically the last of its generation (yes, I know the '07 is coming out, but the '08 will arrive in fall, and it'll be completely redone), and the '07 has the new engine, paddle shifters, new soudn system, new body shape, etc. etc. In the end, the $4 - $5k saving wasn't worth not taking the new gen, plus having to settle on whatever color I could find, maybe some miles on it, etc.

Note that this was how I decided, deciding otherwise isn't wrong - just different. The '06 coupe is a great car.

Good luck!

If your lifestyle allows you to drive around in a coupe, here is what I would do:

Finish the lease, get something cheap (used) for the 7-8 months left until the release of the 2008 coupe. I don't know where you are physically from, but winter is almost here (already here for some of us), so not like you'll be missing a lot.

Get yourself a beater for these few months and when the '08 coupe comes out, get yourself one of the best looking GT coupes on the market today. :D

Good luck.

I went for the sedan S couse it was such a developmental upgrade from my old sedan, but the next coupe looks like it will be much more than an upgrade.

It appears to have quite different hard points (check the body/windshield) area, suggesting a major revision of the platform. I can't help thinking it will be a step way up in all the relevant performance dimensions.

I tend to agree with you, Chuck, but why would they come out with a redesigned sedan and then come out with an even different version of the FM platform. When I saw the Coupe concept at NAIAS the engine bay looked (just by looking at the length and width of hood) as if it could hold a V8. This has been said before but I'm wondering whether or not Infiniti wants to create a model with a V8 to go up against the RS4 and M3. Would it be too soon for Infiniti to start hunting game that prestigious and expensive?

Could be the coupe and sedans will diverge with the coupe sharing a platform with the new supercar- or and I hate to think about it- the 07 Sedan will morph into the next platform.
