2007 Middle East G35 Sedan 327hp? wrong?

So I just called up the dealer to find out when the 07sedans are in for a possible trade in... he said next week and they come in with 327hp - automatic versions with navi extra... i haven't seen the 2007 models advertised with 327hp anywhere... is this possible?

this is the Middle East specs car...

Sounds like BS to me, unless Nissan decided to suddenly re-do the engine...

My guess is they are using the old SAE standards, new SAE horsepower ratings are more conservative/stricter.

I still think its bs. Aren't the Korean specs 315hp? I would think the same holds true for the Middle East market.

Im from Bahrain here (Middle East) WHat I know is that its 327 gross and 315 hp net. Its the same as the G35 released in Korea, lower SAE standards so more horse power.

I was so excited when Lexus offered the IS here in the Middle East and I was ready to buy an IS350 but we got screwed up and got the IS300 with a 3.0 liter engine and only 228 hp. Therefore, the plan has been changed and I started to look up other choices. After browsing this forum, reading reviews, and seeing a lot of pictures, I am waiting for the G35 to officially debut here in our market to buy one.

I usually don’t follow our misleading advertised HP numbers here in the ME, I just check the US HP figures for more accurate numbers. Some manufactures are using gross HP and other ways to advertise the highest possible figures here for the ME market.

ROFL.

If that were true the G would drink a lot less fuel than it now does.

LOL, these days in places it's snowing 'inside' and outside.....
You're really got to watch out for that.
