Entirely possible with the right driver (lightweight), right conditions(barometric, temp, humidity etc)......optimally setup for the track ie taking out the spare, jack, tools etc, running with 1/8-1/4 tank fuel, correct tire pressures, and then there's the possibility of mods -- tho I doubt there's many available yet, it has to be considered by a veteran racer who could easily rig up a temp CAI for drag racing only......(sure it's only a few ponies, but it's something), then there's synthetics (all 'round) good for a few more.

...don't forget the original 03 Sedan was tested at low-mid 14's and that was with A/T and 'only' 260 hp.
We all know the increase in performance over the last few years and the Sedan can be had with a 6M/T now too.....

To my mind, high 13's are going to be common this coming summer, might even see some mid 13's with some minor mods. :)

All conjecture on my part but I'm sure we'll see it happen...:)

MT achieved 13.9 @ 103mph so I believe 13.7. The new 350Z is going to haul.

Could it also be possible that Infiniti underrated this new engine somewhat like BMW did with the 335i? I doubt it but it could be possible. No ones dynoed it yet! Now I'm really curious. :)

meh, the right weather conditions and you could get a mid/low 13 time. Remember that M/T and C/D have corrected numbers...it is the winter now...

jackygor Dec 23, 2006 03:47 AM

if it is true it can hit low 13, infiniti must have done wonders to the tranny.

The only tests have it running 13.9 and now people are talking low 13's. That seems like a stretch even for us Infiniti fanboys.:p :)

Um.... where have you been?!?

Yeah the IS350 and 07 G35 sedan are rated at about the same speed/performance.

Yea for everyone praising the new G35...take a step back and consider this... The competition for the G35 is the 335i and the IS350...

Now the 335i is without a doubt quicker, and the IS350 ties it in displacement and horsepower but produces more torque...so how relatively impressive is the G35?

Anyway, I'm just trying to give a perspective, I knew full well what the IS350 and the 335i offered and I LOVE my G35. but if you're going to get into numbers and speeds and what not, the G35 is not the runaway victor and its not that fast.
