Are You Using Hd Or Cf Cards?

I was wondering if people are putting their music libraries on cd's then burning them onto the harddrive, or ar ethey just using the compact flash slot? If you are using the compact flash card slot, then what size are most people using?

i'm using a 1gb cf card for the new songs and put the old songs in the hd...
i'm just too cheap/lazy to get a 2gb cf card
1gb is plenty enough for right now

2 gb cf and my 60gb ipod.

I'm using 3 CF cards - 1x1GB & 2x@GB. I'm also using the HD.

I'm using two (2) 1G CF cards and CDs containing mp3s for the most part. I did plug in my 60G iPod once, but I have not recorded anything to the hard drive yet. I wish the CD changer in the trunk played mp3s.

Same here. I still buy audio CDs here and there, but I've been pulling out my old stash of CDs and, as I drive, I'd pop them in one after another so they'll record onto the HD. I use my CF cards for Asian music and newer MP3s.

For the most part I haven't used or bought CDs in three years. Everything I have is in an Itunes library, I burn those on CDs when needed. Now I can just put them on the CF card and go. If I can figure out the folder ordering issue I've been having, I'll be set. I may used the HD eventually though just to play around with it, maybe its better.

Ive got alot of music onboard the car. Ive got a 2gb compact flash for "random mp3's". Stuff i just have one or 2 songs from an artist. Ive got my 30gig ipod in the center with 3000 songs. Basically everything i own is on the ipod but pulling it out and hooking it up is not always something i want to do. The internal HD has all my actual cds that i own on it. I have not used the CD changer in the trunk yet? Does ANYONE use the changer in the trunk? I dont see the reason for it? The HDD does all the work for it.

If you don't want the CD changer in the trunk, you can get it removed, and you can replace your trunk liner with the one from without the changer. Someone on this board got the job done by the dealership for about $350 (Infiniti of Oakland). I have some CDs in there, but I hardly use it.

if i can replace the cd changer with the ipod adapter, that would be cool... (better to replace the xm)

Can't you simply connect the iPod to the aux input?

yes. Turn ipod volume up to at least 90% when doing so.

RED_G35S 01-04-2007 01:55 PM

well, i have to turn it on and off all the time.. with the ipod adapter, the ignition can control it

kca2000 01-04-2007 02:43 PM

Id take the IPOD specific setup over the 6 disk changer myself. But i dont think ill ever have the changer removed. Its a lease so i could care less if it sits there for 3 years. :)

dcmidnight 01-04-2007 02:44 PM

I probably wont remove the changer but then again I most likely wont use it either.
