Diagnostic Mode

Looking at service manual. For what it's worth..diagnostic mode in Nav unit is initiated by doing the following:

"Press the BACK switch and the "UP switch of the 8 direction switches" within 10 seconds after turning the ignition switch from OFF to ACC and hold them for 3 seconds or more. The buzzer sounds, all indicators of the preset switch illuminate and the self-diagnosis mode starts"

Cool stuff! These things are like "easter eggs" in DVD's.

Should this be a "sticky"?

Thanks for these great tricks. Hope I'm not being dumb, but is there a trick to set the door locks to automatically lock when you begin driving? I pored over the manual and the Settings, but did not find anything for that. Maybe it's just not available.

Anyone try getting the dealer to turn on the speed sensitive wipers? I wonder why they default to off, and aren't able to turn them on through the LCD interface screen. Maybe they turned out to be too annoying, and Infiniti decided to default them to off?

whoa. the wipers are NOT speed sensitive from the factory? then infiniti shouldn't list it as standard equipment in the brochure!

Mine is turned on from the factory. The wipe interval is definitely shorter as vehicle speed increases.
