JDM 350GT Skyline side marker lights ...

Another thread resurrection!
My side markers finally came in. And I had these things ordered back in MAY! Anyway, here are the pics before installation:
The catch ... now that I've had a chance to check these out, I can't figure out if the bulb is replaceable or if the whole assembly is replaced. The reason is the clear lens does not seem to be removable from the housing so I'm starting to think the lens is glued on after the bulb is installed.
Anyone here have connections in Japan to find out how the bulb is repaced?

One more time ...
To help me get started on this again, I’ve been getting some help from G35s-Dude who was kind enough to pull his side markers off for a few pictures. They are very easy to remove and replace:
From the pictures, I was able to create a template in Adobe Illustrator. I printed the template onto a piece of white label material and stuck it to a thin sheet of steel. It looks a little chewed up because I had it in a vise.
Then I drilled and filed the sheet metal. It turns out the template worked perfectly.
It looks like all I need to do now is to place the sticker template on the fenders in the right location, drill a few holes, then file or grind to size.
Next step, see what kind of connectors I need and make sure the electrical works before cutting anything. This is starting to look pretty easy.
Stay tuned.

Right now, I try to make it a point not to change lanes unless I am well ahead of other cars nearby. But there are instances where that is not practical/possible.
This to me is really a safety feature.

Yup ... dunno why either. I'm sure many of us were close to merging into the same lane as another car. Once a car two lanes over passes our rear bumper, they do not see our rear tail lights.

I'm not sure why side markers aren't required, I would rather have them - I'd feel much better. And also the amber signals, they're much easier to see. You really can't see ours (read yours, not my JDMs ) with the brakes on because the turn signal just blends in with the LEDs
