Project done. Amplified Motorsports did the installation. They know all the tricks to locate them on the fenders now and I left the template with them for any of you Southern CA owners that are interested. They can do it while you wait ... contact them for pricing.

A few pics after I washed my car today (mid 70's on new years eve FTW ):

Goes nicely with the JDM tails:

Haha, very nice Terry finally installed. I'm surprised they were able to install it so easily, I wish I had Amplified over here

Now you're one of the few to have these in the states right?

Wow! Congrats on finally getting the side markers installed, Terry. I'm not much of a fan of side marker lights, as they tend to ruin the lines of a car, but these don't look to bad... Lovin' the JDM tails though!!

Impressive mod, going Japanese OEM. Feeling indifferent, but respecting the effort.

Bump because it's cool either way.

From the pictures, I was able to create a template in Adobe Illustrator. I printed the template onto a piece of white label material and stuck it to a thin sheet of steel. It looks a little chewed up because I had it in a vise.

Then I drilled and filed the sheet metal. It turns out the template worked perfectly.

It looks like all I need to do now is to place the sticker template on the fenders in the right location, drill a few holes, then file or grind to size.

Next step, see what kind of connectors I need and make sure the electrical works before cutting anything. This is starting to look pretty easy.

Stay tuned.
Hi Terry,

Could you send me the template for the side markers ?
I am busy installing them myself, and the template would help alot!

Thanks in advance,
Frank

Sorry ... I don't have it or the car anymore. Best thing to do is copy it from the picture here and scale it to the actual light. Then transfer it onto a piece of sheet metal and cut the hole. You can file or dremel the sheet metal to the right size and test to see it is snug before cutting into you fender. Good luck!

I'd normally say cardboard is fine too, but for this case stick with a piece of sheet metal close to the same thickness as the fender.

The light has a plastic snap so you'll want to make sure it engages the fender correctly without being too loose.
