Moon Roof Rattling Noise

Hello fellow G35 drivers. Besides having problems with the heated cars seats (which I don't care cuz it doesn't get cold in CA) I have a nasty rattle noise when i close my moon roof. It sounds just fine sliding to open but when it closes, it's like an unbalanced garage door. Anybody know anything about this?

Maybe it's this.

Hi - Just took delivery of my black on black X two weeks ago and I've spent the last few days reading up on some great posts here.

Just wondering if this same issue could have caused my sun roof to leak when I went through a high pressure touchless car wash the other day.
Anyone else experience the same and should it be reason for concern?

Your roof shouldn't leak. I bring my x through a touchless wash regularly and no leaking. I'd bring it up with the dealer.

Roof leak is absolutely normal for the new G.

J/K. Rattles and leaks are NOT NORMAL! Get them looked at - and you might help the next guy who has the same issue.

G-Whizzer-
I take it you've experienced the leaky roof with your G?
I've had many cars with a glass roof and even after years of wear and tear, I didn't have water penetrate through the roof seels when I went through a car wash.

Should this be accepted as normal with this class of vehicle?

I think you missed my J/K = just kidding.
I've had at least 6 Infinitis - never a leak.
I'll be more obvious in the future about my sarcasm... sorry about that.

yes- I did miss the J/K- sorry about that.
thanks for your response
