CD changer won't resume where it left off
I'm having the oddest problem w/ my CD changer in the trunk. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
I cannot get the audio system to resume playing the CD/Track I was listening to at the time I turned off the car. Rather than resume playing where it left off, it switches to the next CD. :confused2: I have tried turning the radio off before turning the car off, I even tried switching to another source 1st (i.e. radio. MB, etc) before turning the car off but no matter what, when I switch back to the CD Changer it switches to the next CD. Any one else experience this kind of problem? Laura |
I haven't yet Laura because I've been using the front CD for burning to the MB but I'll try it out and let you know.

Sorry Laura, I haven't tried either and honestly I'm not even sure I know how put a CD into the changer. :p I'll try to remember to test the changer this weekend and let you know how it works out

Thanks guys. If no one else can duplicate the problem then at least I know something is wrong w/ my system.

I think you should let the dealer take a look at your car, because I didn't experience this problem on mine. My CD changer resumes playing the same CD/track as when I turned off the car (I didn't turn the CD changer off before that, though).

I tried out the CD changer last night and I was so unhappy with the track display that I forgot to check if it resumed. I'll try again today but then I'm taking my CDs out for good.

I contacted the dealer and they said it should resume - which is of course the logical thing. Sounds like one more thing they'll have to check out/fix when I bring it in for my 1st oil change.
