I doubt it would do much if anything beneficial on the new motors since the design flaw most likely doesn't exist. To me the idea of the spacers seem to be roughly the same as offset mounts of older cars with carburators. On those cars except at full throttle the throttle plates partically dictated the air fuel mixture flow to different parts of the engine on many cars. This meant that some cylinders could be running rich, others lean. The offset mounts were designed to even this out.
While the spacers change the volume of the plenum I think the main benefits are to ensure proper airflow to all cylinders. If it does not than that is a design flaw (although maybe on purpose, ie economics). I believe the new motors have eliminated this power bottleneck. |

That actually is somewhat of a relief. Thanks for the info. Before I start researching exhaust, anyone have any suggestions to point me towards for most hp/tq gains for money spent?
What every you decide on I would look carefully at how you really drive your car, rpms, loading, etc. Many of the mods available may actually give you a decrease in certain areas. So compare how you drive to what is available. |
Isn't this a aftermarket parts thread? not a lets hastle each other about stupid stuff? Kind of hard to look for parts when there is 100 posts about nothing =\

Are EBC 3GD sport brakes any good? They weren't mentioned in this thread and they are supposed to fit the sedan apparently. I'd like to replace the rotors and I'm looking for suggestions for the best brand.

Bilstein pss 10
Just got off the phone with Bilstein, and they have approved the pss10 coilovers for the 2nd gen sedan.
I think its the same part # for all coupes and sedans 03 thru 08 |
^ Sweet. I waited for these to be available forever, but got tires of waiting and went with the JIC VIP's instead. Kinda wish I had waited now... oh well, I'm very happy wth my JIC, so no complaints.
Anyone have any plans to go with the Bilstein pss10's? |

G37S Sedan Rims
Just bought a new G37S Sedan. Doing some upgrades/modifications in a few areas, including Stillen exhaust and cold air intake, window tint, and fog lights. I want to upgrade the rims but having a hard time finding 18" rims that will fit given the large size of the rotors and calipers on the S Sedan model.
Anyone out there having any success in finding a decent looking rim that will fit in the $200-400 price range? |
Not sure if someone posted these yet: http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...lehalokit.aspx
Would love to see some on-car pics |
Wow where did those come from?
|
Ha! And putting all those parts on the same car... "PRICELESS"
