Where's the outside temp. display?

I just got a G35 with nav. this past weekend. I can't seem to find the outside temperature display. Am I overlooking something or does it not have one?

It's not on the center screen - but between the speedo and tach.
Scroll through and find it.
It SHOULD be on the center screen... :(

Yep, it's in the center of the gauge cluster. You'll have to toggle through things like the fuel economy, dte, etc to get to the outside temperature.

I definitely agree that it should be on the LCD next to the time like it was in the pre-released G.

And like it also is in the FX. Complete oversight IMO considering the clock is already right there on the dash. At least give us a toggle option.

While I agree it would be nice to have it on the center screen, how often do you need to really need to check the temperature and what will you do differently once you know? My life is no different if it's 87 and I'm flying down the highway in my G or if it ticks up to 88.

I agree that it should be on the navi screen. If I see it 105 outside I will just keep on driving. I find that I dont use the info screen in between the tach and speedo. Its useless to me. That should be all on the navi screen. You get use to looking at one place for information. Just my thoughts.

Actually, I use the temperature gauge quite a bit......especially in the winter. The road conditions are completely different at 35 degrees as opposed to 32 degrees.

Out here in L.A. we don't have that problem. However when the temperature hits 100 degrees (as it today) it's nice to know how far down I have to set the AC.

it was a 107 degrees here a couple of days ago. plus it's humid as hell

Nice. You should try visiting NYC in the summer - it's so humid, everything around is sweating, even the bugs... :icon09:

As to the topic itself, I agree, it should have been left on the NAV screen. The engineers must have had a good reason to take it out of there (or not putting it there for that matter).

Couldn't somebody also make the argument that by placing the temperature readout between the speedometer and the tach it is actually closer to somewhere the driver has to look anyway?

You don't think so about what? That roads conditions are different at 35 than at 32? Where do you live, California? If you don't think temps effect road conditions, you either don't live in a colder climate or you haven't been driving long.

I have lived in Mass my whole life...

My commute to college was 35 miles one way, and I did that all throughout college.

If it is cold all night, the water on the road will turn to ice, of course. But if it hits 33 degrees, its not like all of a sudden it instantly switches to water.
