Car wouldn't start today.

Had an odd thing happen, I went to start the car and when I sat in the seat and put my foot on the brake the pedal was rock hard with the car off. When I pushed the button the wiper blades came on even though they were in the off position and with my foot on the brake the car went to ACC mode and didn't start. it had the indicator that I needed to put my foot on the brake pedal. when I did (it was still rock hard) and pushed the button it did about a 1/2 second attempt to turn the engine over then shut everything down. I kept trying for 15 minutes and nothing, it would only start to turn over then shut down.

I called roadside for a pickup and then waited... about 30 minutes of waiting I decided to try it again, 2 times in a row the same thing, then the 3rd time it just turned over and was running fine. I drove home and all was OK, started a few more times and no issue.

Has anyone else had this glitch? it was definitely an electronics issue, the battery was fine, car had power it just kept killing it's self before it could turn over enough. I'm wondering if it was a brake issue because the whole time the pedal was rock-hard.

Yea iunno why the pedal becomes rock-hard...Whenever my G's pedal gets hard I just push it harder and then it starts up.

The hard pedal tells me someone pumped it while the engine was off, which in turn won't turn it on because the computer does not detected enough pressure on the brake pedal. I'd simply try to hit it harder.

So far so good, it hasn't happened again in the last 6 trips... I'll keep an eye on it and give the dealer a call as a heads-up.

Same thing happened to me, but I pressed on the brake again and it worked. I had an issue like this in my previous cars too, but you just press the brake again. Not sure about the reasoning.
