07/08 G35 Sedan, how's it holding up?
My mom is looking to buy a new car. We went to the infinity dealer and test drove the 2007 G35x. It was a really fun ride even though I can't drive (I'm 14:7: ). Still it was fun in the backseat. It's amazing how much technology in cars has changed in 8 years (99 528i - 07 G35x). We are from Vancouver and to get the G35x with the packages we want is going to be around $52,000 brand new. But in the states to buy one new with the same packages its around $41,500. The problem is that apparently nissan doesn't honour a warranty if you buy a car from the states unless it has been registered for 6 months. I'm not sure if that rule applies to Infinity or not but apparently it doesn't for volkswagen. I was just wondering if I could get a general idea of how your G35 sedan has been holding up and what you guys think the pros and cons are. I know I love it but that was only from the 20minute test drive with the really persuasive car salesman:p . Also have their been any problems with anything major with you g35?
Thanks, Brendan |
hey man! the G is a great car for the $$$, and I had my G Since Jan, and had zero problems with it! my Car just turned 3000mi, and have had no problems at all with anything Major! Just small TSB Fixes for Minor things, besides that, it's been a Great Ride! Hope you guy's pick up an X, and become part of the G family! :)

By the way does anybody know if Infinity requires you to have a car that has been registered for 6 months in order for the warranty to honor in a different country. I'm pretty sure I asked that already but just in case you missed it.
good luck. :) |
Which dealership were you at?
I briefly skimmed through an article about buying cars in America. They highlighted more than just warranty though. There were many other things to consider unfortunately.... |

Nissan and Infiniti have different warranties. Infiniti does not have the 6 month restriction and has full warranty on imported cars to Canada.

its infiniti .. please stop saying it as "infinity" . its a great car overall, and i doubt you can go wrong choosing one. the goods of this car greatly outweighs the bads. the only bad thing i can possibly think of is that it's stock height is a too high for me. otherwise .. its just awesome =)

Just turned 12k on ours, no probs except the sunroof trim and Cruise control TSBs. Car is such a blast to drive and we get nice comments on a daily basis.
Just sign on the bottom line (your mom that is :) ) |

You can't go wrong with most of the cars in this class, they're all great performers. |
Mine is flawless.
The only thing I had done under warranty was the flap in the sunroof. |
