Mileage on your 08's ??
Just curious..... I've had my G35 for 1 month now and have been averaging 23mpg. What's the norm ?
|
I get about 19mpg with my new 07 X. But it's about 70% in town, stop and go driving. When i drive back to Iowa City(90 min on the interstate) i get between 22 and 23 mpg.

I average about 16-18, but I drive about 90% in town. I don't have to get on the freeway much :)
|
i'm getting right around 20-21mpg combined on my '08 6MT
|
Between 16-18 MPG, mostly in city driving. Just about 1K on the odo.

I hope I am not stealing your thread but it is kind of a related issue.
I just got the 2008 G35 a week ago and hadn't filled it with gas till last night. So before filling up, as I was driving the range said about 30 miles and the display between the guages turned bright red and was warning me that the range is low and I should fill up. So about a mile later I pull into a gas station and top the tank off. To my surprise it only filled 17.3 gallons when the capacity of the tank is 20 gallons. Now is it just me or does infiniti gives you a large margin of error if you keep driving when low on gas? Also would there be another warning light that would go on next to the gas guage when the gas was getting a lot lower? Also when it was topped off, the range read 340 miles. Is this about what your car displays when the tank it filled to the neck? Oh and the mileage from display read 21mpg after the first fill up.(half city half freeway driving) |
yes, the warning is extremely early... It's basically like the 'low fuel' light in any other car.
|
14-15mpg in the city (lead foot). 24-25mpg long distance freeway trips.
|
15-17 mpg of mainly city/stop and go fwy driving and 22.5 mpg on a 260 mile virtually all hwy trip.

19 overall
21-23 highway 16-18 local |

The fuel gauge is for about 18 gallons. Infiniti did this so that you don't run out of gas too soon after you see warning sign comes up. That 2 gallons are for safety reasons. But yes, you do have a total of 20 gallon tank. EDIT: The range you see is also based on the 18 gallons. |
