At The Dealer's...

I'm actually currently sitting in the dealership using the provided free Wi-Fi :) Getting my 7500 mile service, having them check the weather strip and the Bluetooth, which oddly just stopped recognizing my BB yesterday.

Along with my maintenance reminder, I also got a cool little picture and notice on the dash screen that said "MAINTENANCE TIRE". Do I need new tires already at 7500 miles? I mean I've done some spirited driving, but not THAT spirited? Or is that typical with a tire like Bridgestone Potenza?

Anyway, hopefully they figure all of that out. After a free wash (which isn't as thorough as my own, but whatever) I'll be ready to take it home and start some detailing - it's been raining/snowing for about a week and my car looks like crap

It is a reminder to rotate your tires. I think. I turned mine off when I bought it so I don't get these reminders.

That's what I thought - I was going to be a little ticked if every 6 months I needed new tires :)

Turns out my Bluetooth unit went bad - dealership is going to replace it since it wasn't my fault. Other than this small fault, this car has exceeded all of my expectations, so I'm not going to chastise Infiniti :) Maintenance costs are low too, which is great.

Who is the dealer?

Passport Infiniti - Alexandria, VA. They said it's part of a 4-year warranty on anything that doesn't wear out - I only pay for brakes, oil, maintenance, etc. Anything that breaks, they replace until 2011.

Is this your first new car? :) That's generally how the bumper to bumper warranty works.

Yeah first new one. Previous cars were a Mazda MPV (definitely not working for cool points), Nissan Sentra, and then my '03 Accord that I got from my folks. This one is my first car that's MINE! Good stuff....lovin' it too.

The early Honda Accords used to bring up a reminder that said (I am not making this up) "TIRE ROT". Took 'em several years to understand why people were getting concerned......
