Maybe I just don't understand...
It's great that everyone states their opinions, good and bad, about the G. There's sometimes good information in the posts, and this shouldn't be a place that only positive opinions are well-received.
But sometimes I read the gripes about the G, and think that apparently I have no idea what I should care about in a car. Because it doesn't really bother me that:
I walk out to the G, admire it on the way, unlock it and push the button to start without bothering to take out my key. The seat and steering wheel move to meet me, the exhaust growls quietly, and when I slip it into gear I have a choice of a great auto, or choosing my own with paddles or the shifter. Merging or passing is effortless, the ride is firm but not harsh, and cornering produces satisfying G-forces (pun intended) as it rotates - plus it stops RIGHT NOW when you hit the brakes. Again, this isn't meant as a slight to those who have complaints, but I think the car is beyond great. Peace |
I agree with you 100% I have no real problems with my G either. I have nothing to bitch about cause I am happy with my car.

For someone who doesn't have his yet, you aren't making the wait any easier! I think I'll have mine either just before or just after Christmas.
|
I agree 100%
The vast majority of complaints logged here do not even register as chickensh*t. I've had my G for more than a year and am more and more impressed by it. I would buy the same car if mine were totalled tomorrow.
I've read other forums where folks with far more expensive vehicles (e.g. MB, BMW) have much more frequent and serious problems with their cars. The fact that all that people here have to complain about are minutaie is a testament to the greatness of the G. |

I agree the lower plastic seems fine to me. Whoever started that one must be an idiot.

Why are the complaints focused only on the lower door panel?

i've also noticed little things, like gaps in panels and stuff, it could be better
road noise is somewhat loud by my standard for a luxury car trunk panels are flimsy, it's so easy to pry things apart high end power is somewhat lacking gas mileage is as bad as my suv which weighs a lot more that being said, the car is a blast to drive, it's alot for the money |

I've had some real issues with the car:
Leaving my wife and baby stranded (early victim of the 1st gen I-Key) Sunroof molding (fixed tsb) Heated seat suckitude (due to be fixed tsb) TPMS failure- light always on (dealer says he needs to reprogram) Throttle/Transmission lag (I can't reproduce enough to get dealer to pay attention) And I can nitpick with a couple of other things about the car, but the damn thing is fantastic. By far the best car I've ever owned. If I was buying a new car tomorrow I'd buy the same car (ok- with nav next time). Like the original poster I admire it every time I walk up to it and I always glance back to admire it when walking away from it. The car rocks. After about 15 months I still look forward to driving it every day. If I go a few days away without driving it, I miss it. |

I am too busy enjoying my car to nitpick about every last little thing. I LOVE this car! :driving: |
I agree....i have started thread about what problems have you had..but i didnt complain about them and infiniti already fixed them all..
But i love this car today more than i did when i first got it...and im going thru withdrawls cuz its been 2 weeks since i started her up :o |
Great post G35now! and a great car.

I agree whole heartedly. I have actually stopped posting and frequenting as much because I am not overly interested in the conversation going on nowadays. I remember when the car was still so new and fresh and nearly every post was about something new and exciting someone had learned or figured out about the car, and we all would post and discuss it. The same went for a new aftermarket product. Then there was the month or 2 where you got to gawk at pictures of 1-2 new lowered sedans or new wheels a day, and discuss about all the different wheel offset/size combinations and whether or not they would rub....
I understand the newness has worn off, we have all figured the cars out, and we have all the lowering, tire, and wheel information figured out (Thanks Terrycs!!!). So, the conversation has become a little more dry and whatnot. I do not understand why people seem to obsessively pick their cars apart though?!?! You bought a $35-40k sports sedan, not a $200k Bentley. I tell everyone who asks that "Bang for the buck... this car cannot be beat." I for one honestly believe that, and like the OP, I LOVE my car. |
