For anyone whos had there car dyno'd

I was just checking out some stuff on streetfire. I noticed they have a 2007 altima 6mt with a fujita intake and grouding wires. I deceided to check it out and seen it gave some strange results.

I know conditions play a huge roll + the dyno they use, thats why I posted it for someone who may know better.

The guy got 261 WHP and 239 lb/torque to the wheels. Arent those numbers real close if not better to what G owners are getting? We have an advertised 306hp and 268 torque vs the altimas 270 - 255. On top of that I thought rwd is supposed to be less drivertrain loss. Either way great numbers on the altimas part.

Where did you hear that RWD has less drive train loss? When you have the engine and transmission in the front, and you need a big drive shaft to bring the power back to the rear, of course you'll lose more power than if your transmission attaches to the front wheels.

yes. FWD looses less on the dyno but still. those number seem waaaaaay off. grounding wires didnt do anything and intake no more than 10 hp and thats being generous. so 9-19 hp loss from crank to wheels. calibration was probably off. sorry

Maybe he had some other mods done too. You can get a good ecu update pulley and timing change, intake and their is a possibility to those numbers.

I still wouldn't vorry about it. After all it is still an altima.

Nice slipper car tho.

i would beleive 235-245 whp. unless there is a reflash of somesort? then maybe 260

We can smoke an Altima SE-R with intake n exhaust....grounding wires might give you .00001 hp.

Were the numbers corrected to standards? My numbers on my Firebirds would vary greatly with the temp, but always balanced out once corrected.

I'm certainly not an "Altima expert", but it seems like I read an article in one of the car rags about the Altima posting a slightly quicker 60 and the same 1/4 times as their last 350Z test (Altima may have been a factory freak).

It was at least a year ago, but I'm pretty sure this was what I read. Maybe the Altima's are a little underrated?

I bet they are. It is common thing from carmakers. Usually German car makers doing it. Like they did it with the 335i vs M3.

They did not want to cut the sale of the M3 due to the 335i being to "good"

I actually thought RWD did better on the dyno then FWD. Aside from that though, a co worker of mine picked up an 07 altima 6mt a few months back. When I still had my G we did a quick 20 roll race, granted I had my heavy *** 20's on and the fujita intake which has been proven to slow the car down, but up till about 3rd gear we were pretty even until we let off.

From a dig I dusted him.

depends on dyno, calibration, temp, etc etc, only true way of comparing it is to have yours dyno and get someone else who has a G on the same dyno right after

but good numbers for the altima nevertheless
