? for those who have gotten the ITB's done

after getting all my ITBs done, cold start, cruise control and clutch slave.
on startup my car idle drop to about 500 rpm and makes a thump sound, kinda
like the engine is gonna die out but its jumps back up. it does this about 90% i
start up the car. anyone have the same situation?
btw after getting all the ITB done my car feels exactly the same, no better no worst. im not sure if anything was done to it but it does clearly states on the paper it was done.

does it make the thump and rpm change when you let out the clutch? always when i start mine, then let off the clutch, it makes a thump sound and the rpms decrease some

jus tried it again, step on the clutch, keep stepping on it until the engine fully start. .5 sec later " thump" idle dies down to 500 rpm and jump back up to normal. this never happen before.

I just experienced the cruise control problem; however, I like the high rev off the line. So it's keeping me from getting the ITB done.

i hate you OP. when i saw the title i thought OMFG no way could ITB's be out for our car yet! lol. it was the first thign that came to mind because ive been on my350z looking at their ITB progress.

ITBs??????

Don't you mean TSBs???? ;)

g35sedan5at Mar 9, 2008 09:31 AM

lol. ITB's = Individual Throttle Bodies

TSB's = Technical Service Bulletin

i knew i was going crazy for some reason. oh man

prelude555 Mar 11, 2008 12:20 AM

ITB = infiniti techinal bulletin

anyways no one has this problem? it doesnt happen when the car is still cold, only when the car is fully warm up. i turn off the car and back on then the idle dips down like the car is gonna stall.
