Best Coolant to Use (or go with Nissan's?)

Hey folks,

Was cleaning my engine bay the other day and noticed that my coolant level was at just about "Min". The manual suggests Nissan's Coolant (obviously for marketing). The Infiniti dealer wanted like $30 for a gallon.

I do not have to much experience with researching good brand coolants. What are the good brands? Should I go with Nissan's?

I just like the best for my car :)

Unless you are leaking coolant i wouldnt worry about it. There is suppose to be room inside of the overflow tank to allow for expansion.

I skimmed through a Maxima site and it appears the Nissan coolant is silicate free and a "long life" type. That being said, I'd recommend using the Nissan stuff. My 2 cents..

yeah, I'm looking too. Think I might go with the Nissan stuff.

Now I gotta find a place to find it.

You should definitely research it. There are many different kinds of coolant. You just need to make sure it's compatible.
