the easiest way to get a car's whp is to divide the bhp by 1.28 and it'll be pretty close....show me a dyno of a stock g37 doing 280

Mustang/brake dyno---->Dynojet---->Dynapack
The difference in HP between each dyno with a G could be as much 40whp.

Another thing I forgot to add about why the 7AT will be quicker is that the 7AT locks up in the lower gears and stays locked at WOT in 2nd+ gears. That means the tranny will not have significant torque converter pumping losses and will behave just like a manual with a direct connection to the motor. That's a pretty big deal. The 5ATs will only lock up in the top of 3rd and above.

That's funny, it seems like the only dyno numbers I trust is from this link since Terry is legit and definitely is NOT a fanboy by any means
https://g35driver.com/forums/tech-07...rning-gtm.html
243rwhp....I can find links too guys, it's not that hard to use a search button you know...and like I said before these are not some BS dynojet numbers...dynojet numbers are good to test a product and see what kinda gains you get, but definitely not stock hp numbers
This is a dyno of terry's car at GTM, it isn't some random G35 sedan horsepower numbers you found on some random google search either
from my estimation equation of bhp / 1.28 = whp => 306 / 1.28 = 239.0625...seems like this equation came pretty close to terry's STOCK numbers...dunno where you guys keep getting 280rwhp on our sedans from...keep dreaming

In that first post there are two dynos listed, one from a dynapack and one from a dynojet.
The dynapack eliminates the tire/roller interface by bolting straight to the drive wheel hubs.
The dynojet is an inertial based dyno where the car is responsible for accelerating a fixed mass drum.
Consequently, neither dyno will produce equivalent numbers.
And you're smoking something if you think there's a 28% powertrain loss.

Also, in one of my earlier posts in this thread linked to a dyno at Forged Performance. Sharif sports a dyno dynamics dyno - yet a third dyno for your "equations."
The fact is that after all my bolt-ons, I dyno'd 266whp on a dynojet. Half an hour later, my wife's bone stock 07 6MT put down 267whp on the exact same dynojet.
Back up two years, and my car put down 241whp bone stock on a dynojet. You can dismiss dynojets all you want, but in the end it's just a number. Regardless of dynos, your gains are solved by the simplest of equations:
gain = after - before. In my case, my gains amounted to 25whp.
That means that my wife's car, bone stock, peaked at 1hp greater than my car *after* I enjoyed a gain of 25hp to the wheels. By extension, at the wheels, her stock 076MT overpowered my stock 056MT to the tune of 26whp.
Using a drivetrain loss of 17%, that means that her car was making 31.3hp more at the crank, stock to stock.
Using your drivetrain loss figure of 28%, that would put her car making 36.1hp more at the crank, stock to stock.
So you tell me, and throw out your confused dyno mumbo-jumbo: is Infiniti's 07 6MT crank figure of 306hp underrated, or is Infinit's 05 6MT crank figure of 298 overrated? Because no matter which figure you choose, 17% or 28%, the numbers just don't add up.
Let's face it. You're out of your league in dyno world. Come back after you've dyno'd you car a 100 times like I have.

Is it possible that the new G37 transmission is that efficient? If so then the gas mileage should be much better also.

My car produced 240whp prior to uprev tune...i have fast intentions intimidator exhaust with HFC, mrev 5/16th spacer, K&N typhoon short ram intake... after tune.. i was at 260whp.. Good gains for those amount of mods? what is average for those amount of mods? 260whp = about 319 bhp? eh... i have 07 coupe 6mt. dyno dynamics btw..
next is strupp headers.. i have em.. just have to install them... i heard around 20hp gain midrange??? True or false??

I accept with information:The current 6mts are geared very similarly as the pre 07 autos. 1st 35-40 mph 2nd close to 60 and 3rd gear goes all the way to 100mph which is just too long for a V6 motor. Hopefuly 7at ratios will allow a extra gear from 60-100mph and the car will become much quicker.
The IS350 has identical acceleration as the current G35s. IS350 can do sub 2.0 60ft on stock tires for some reason...
