I mean this feature has only recently started showing up more in automatics- not to mention it can kill your transmission/clutch.

but I'm still curious- for those of us forced with the G35X's automatic, is there a formal launch control? I dont do red light races like a bunch of kids around here, but I just want to know :) thanks

Launch control is limited to DSG (dual sequential gearbox) or DCT (dual clutch tranny) type clutches, they are essentially manual transmissions with computer controlled clutches not traditional auto's like we got. So no launch control on ours. Nissan is pulling this feature off the GTR cause ppl were blowing trannies from "overuse" the 2010 only has a 0.2 loss in 0-60 I think.... I have launched may car a couple of ways and only gained 0.1 0-60... so if you wanna launch the fastest and safest for the car I'd recommend left foot braking and right foot punching. Enjoy!!!

Your AWD so your good to go....
With RWD you cant do that..you'd simply sit in one place and peel tires.
