- Tire life...front tires are nearly bald after 15,300 miles on not-very-spirited driving.
Aftermarket floormats will make the carpet a non-issue (I'm using weathertech brand floor liners).

Remember, this is an entry level car for the brand, don't expect nice leather in this price class (from any manufacturer).

Do you rotate tires? If not, you should rotate at least every 2nd oil change.

You must not get out much! (Or have a fleet of beater cars).

Good 3 year review even though 15k probably doesnt give an accurate review for a 3 year old car. But having 36k just after 1 1/2 years, I can still agree to each one of your points. Go G!

During my ownership, I have spent about 20% of my time traveling for work (flying places, not driving) and I do have a beater ('97 Maxima SE) for bad weather (which is ~1/3 the year here in Chicagoland).

It is a Sport model, so no tire rotation...

You're not alone, 15K miles and coming up on 3 yrs here also. I take the train to work so the car is basically a weekend toy....

This year has been really bad, only 800 miles on it since April. Unemployment sucks!

You might want to try rotating side to side on your next set of tires (once is enough). Requires dismount/remount since most tires are directional, but may be worth the effort. Just get a quote before you do it, some tire places will try to charge a fortune (it's only 20 mins more work than rotate/balance).

My '08 had almost 16K when I traded in 2 months ago and it still has at least 50% thread left on the tires.

that's good news i guess..

i average about 20k miles a year w/ my commute so i would hate to have to buy tires every 9 months

i've had the car 13 months and it's @ 35K miles from daily commute, 90% highway. And It's not a highway cruiser. car drifts all over the place depend on which lane it's in. car shakes over 70mph to include steering wheel, seats, etc. Shifter vibrates in neutral too. Clutch noise in neutral too. oil change is $60 here in NJ. Worse car i've every owned, thank god i didn't spend more for sun roof and packages. as soon as lemon law case settles, say bye bye. 6mt sucks, shifter worse than my 03 maxima. This car says nothing about refinement. Don't get me wrong, the automatic G35X doesn't have any of these problems from all the loaners I've driven but auto trans is not my cup of tea.

Sounds like an alignment and balance issue.

Funny you should mention that, i had a re-alignment just recently (Firestone) and now my steering wheel is off-center. I'm heading back out to get it re-aligned soon.

Great review!

I've had mine for a little over 3 years now (can't believe how quick the time has flown) and my experience has been pretty much the same as yours. No squeaks or rattles, interior looks like new, and have done just routine maintenance such as yourself. I had my grille replaced due to pitting, but that was under warranty. My only gripe has been that once the original batteries died in both key fobs, they go through batteries like crazy now.....about 1 a month.

Overall, I've been extremely happy with the car and still love driving it!

...get the Energizer from Walmart. I put those in mine and it seems better than the original.
